Talking Point: What is your Favourite Type of Donut?

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of the previous show – What the hell are Nintendo going to do at E3?

All of the comments can be found at the links below.

As always some of your suggestions and comments were great, we do like when people get involved.

Everybody seems as mixed in opinion as the rest of us. One guy pulled me up on the wording of some of my complaints and I am happy he did as it gave me a chance to better explain what I thought.

Moving on to this weeks topic, finally Gow picked the topic which lead to the discussion What is your Favourite Type of Donut?

Strangely this is one of the most honest and in depth discussions we have had in sometime in my opinion! For me there was only one option – Freshly cooked donut balls, generally found at fairs and seaside towns. For Gow he did like a glazed donut.

There were other topics  as well but you will have to watch to see what they were

Let us know in the comments below which is your favourite and suggest a possible question for the next Talking Point, please do as I seem bad at picking them myself. Everything is fair game, from politics to movies, music to games, hell we will even discuss our favourite womble if you so wish it..

Drinky Talky Thingy Podcast #149: Long overdue and Well out of date

Because not even Iwata knows what he is doing anymore
Because not even Iwata knows what he is doing anymore

Ok yes this podcast is well out of date, we are looking forward to the day that life doesn’t keep getting in our way.

That should be soon, for now i’m afraid if you are listening to this you are listening to something that was recorded 3 weeks ago.

To make matters worse it was recorded after a few weeks off due to Paddy being out the country.

That said we debated crowdfunding, talked about the fact that being crap at gaming makes people more violent than the game content, talked about peoples unplayed steam collections and even talked about the 1:1 scale Minecraft map of Denmark.

Anyway all that and much more in this episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of the previous show – What is your opinion on the VR Trend?

Seems on the whole everyone was quite positive on the whole VR thing, thinking forward to what it is possible and what the industry might do. You also all seem to realise that whatever happens it is going to take some time.

Moving on to this weeks topic, we want to know What the hell are Nintendo going to do at E3?

They are in the proverbial Catch 22 at the moment. Business wise they could really do with cutting their losses on the Wii U and announcing something new to replace it, but they really cant afford to look weak and can a console that is only 2 years old. Particularly when that console was only bought by their hardcore fans.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds!

Drinky Talky Thingy Podcast #148: Recently Bought Out by Facebook for $2

Once again Simpsons called it
Once again Simpsons called it

Yes I know, another late episode of the podcast. Unfortunately this is likely to be a trend for a few months at least.

For that reason we had far too many stories lined up to cover all of them, so for that reason we pulled it back to just the ones that we thought were most interesting.

Obviously that means that we had to talk about Project Morpheus, the Oculus Rift purchase by Facebook, Molyneux’s latest ramblings & a bunch of the awards for last years games.

Anyway all that and much more in this episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of the previous show – Which Game sums up your Childhood?

All of the comments can be found at the links below.

A lot of very good suggestions but you guys wound up Gow as none of you selected a single game, though to be honest neither did we really and the ones we kinda forced upon ourselves was probably wrong

However one overwhelming opinion was a lot of people really liked the LucasArts

Moving on to this weeks topic, we want to know What is your opinion on the VR Trend?

This came about as a result of during the 3 weeks we have been away much happened in that area of the gaming industry. Firstly Sony officially announced project morpheus as their entry into the VR Market, then just before recording Facebook bought the Oculus developers for $2 Billion (Yes I heard Dr Evil as well). So whats your take on the whole thing and will you still be buying one?

Drinky Talky Thingy Podcast #147: Always in favour of Anarchy

Nobody will ever know!
Nobody will ever know!

It would be easy to say that this episode was delayed due to wasting time playing pokemon, in fact it was Gows job to publish these it might even be true.

In all honesty its once again a problem of my being in a bit of a busy period at work.

However that is probably not why you are here, you will most likely be after gaming news.

In this show we talked about the possibility of a Last of Us sequel, the fact that Kickstarter has passed the $1Billion pledge mark, a metric fucktonne of Twitch news and even a bit of a chat on Batman & Half-Life 3. What more could you want

Anyway all that and much more in this episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.
