Talking Point: What piece of the future are you most looking forward to?

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of last weeks show -What is your take on the Destructiod ‘HUGE’ Program?

Here are a selection of the comments

  • FaceBook: https://www.facebook.com/DrunkenGamer131/posts/10153229096240788
  • Alec Ross-Bower:  Fair enough. As long as it doesn’t affect the current access
  • Dan Allen: Natural progression for converting readers to dollar
  • Michelle Chatterton:  for someone who uses the site daily and is part of the site’s community. $3 a month is nothing really
  • Trevor Bristle: As long as there is no paywall.

As always we then went on to have a good old fashion natter about this weeks topic which was What piece of the future are you most looking forward to?

Despite banging on for quite some time about the potential Hyperloop ET3 (http://www.et3.com/) transportation system, Gow eventually went for Hoverboards because who doesnt want things to Hover. Likewise despite banging on about space travel for quite a while I ended up picking Robots for my tech.

So, What about it guys & gals?

Let us know in the comments below which is your favourite and suggest a possible question for the next Talking Point, please do as I seem bad at picking them myself.  Everything is fair game, from politics to movies, music to games, hell we will even discuss our favourite womble if you so desire it.

For more information on the program itself you can check out the detailed on this link: http://www.destructoid.com/huge-destructoid-rolls-out-ad-free-memberships-261117.phtml

Basically its a Sub service to remove adverts and perks from the Destructoid site. Both Me and Gow are interested in the idea, however Gow is not sure of its Long-Term Viability. Personally I like the idea for the fact it will mean the site no longer has to write articles based on how many page views it will get.

Talking Point: Does Last of Us live up to the hype?

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of last weeks show – Which Games Franchise has been done to death?

Here are some of the things our viewers suggested

  • Trevor – Crash Bandicoot
  • Dan Allen – Call of Duty
  • Stuart Renton – Pokemon & Mario
  • Mike Lockwood – Tekken & Splinter Cell
  • Alec-Ross Bower  – Splinter Cell, Resident Evil, Call of Duty & Fifa
  • FirehawkShadowchild – EA Sports Collection & Simulator Franchise
  • TimmyHassall – Call of Duty
  • Michell Chatterton – House of the Dead

For us we think that on the whole it does, there are some areas where it is a little weak in the gameplay but the story carries it in our eyes.

Review: Resident Evil 6

It may cause zombification, but I still want it!

Resident Evil may have started as the Daddy of the Survival Horror Genre but in recent years it seems to have lost its way somewhat.

This year they brought out the latest version Resident Evil 6 and ever willing to give it another chance to prove itself, Alec picked it up and gave it a go. Despite stupidly damaging the disk at one of My gaming nights, He has now played enough of the game to say whether they have succeeded or failed at returning the game to its prime.

He put his thoughts into a video for you guys to enjoy, please give it a watch and let him know what you think.
