Episode #39: Still available on the iPhone 4S

And as one the Hipsters of the world felt, well you wouldn't have heard of the feeling they felt.

So, one thing we have learnt is that not even the DrunkenGamer is immune to tiredness.

This weeks podcast may be a little more scatological than normal, after a few weeks of long days and nights worth of work my brain may just be coming to its natural limits. Not that I would let that stop me recording an episode of the podcast.

I think I was not alone  in my tiredness either as, as hard as it is to tell at times, Gow also seemed even more distractable than normal.

Somehow we still managed to cover a whole pile of games from Battlefield 3 to Uncharted 3, SpaceChem to Dead Space 3…that’s a lot of threes. We even manage to find the time to pay our respects to Steve Jobs who unfortunately passed away this week.

Anyway as always links to almost all the topics covered in tonight’s show are available after the jump.

Also as always we are still taking suggestions for the mid podcast songs. So if you have a suggestion for song to be included in the podcast then put it in the comments of this post or send them too @DrunkenGamer or @D_Gow . They will be put on the short-list and you will be mentioned in the podcast itself when played

Anyway enjoy this episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.

Also for while now listeners have been asking for a way to buy us a beer and help us get drunk for their amusement, well now we have found a way. We have set up an Amazon wish list full of beer and sugary things that you can send to us (trust us were just as funny hyper as drunk). Anyone that does so can send any message with their beer and we will say it in the show. Amazon.co.uk: Drinky Talky Thing

Episode #30: Chocolate teapots are the way forward

Who says chocolate teapots can't be useful? Whoever they are, tell them we think their wrong!!

You know what, I think both me and Gow are starting to lose the plot.

Seriously I think we managed to spend the first few minutes debating whether or not a chocolate teapot would be a practical hot drink creation/containment vessel. I think we finally came down on the side of yes but only were the chocolate substantially thick enough and perhaps dual layered with a vacuüm in between for insulation.

When we were not talking about random shite like that we also managed to talk about a bunch of this weeks gaming news from the Diablo 3 fansite visit to the 3DS price drop and even a bit on Baattlefield 3.

As always links to almost all the topics covered are after the jump.

Many enter, Only one can survive

Drinky Talky Thing 2011 #8

Many enter, Only one can survive
Many enter, Only one can survive

WOW! Did I used to record these things on my own & sober?

With Gow away skiing in France & Craig living it up state-side at GDC – I was left completely without a co-host for the first time this year.

There were several people who offered to co-host, and I thank them all for their offers to help. Unfortunately being my last week at Omerta, I had to put in some extra time to get some things wrapped up. This meant a later than normal start to recording.

To everyone that offered I will contact you about co-hosting in the future as I have always thought about including guest hosts in the show.

So despite being shorter than normal and not really having as much randomness as normal – I hope you still enjoy this weeks episode.

So without further stalling, here it is.

Hopefully a final wrap up on the whole Bulletstorm story, RockPaperShotgun managed to get a response from the last of the experts in the original article. While he stands by what he said, that is fine as he firmly believes it – he says he’s in no way against the game as long as its played by the people it was aimed at
