Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Drinking Game

So many characters to choose from, so why does it always come back to just Ryu, Blanka & Dalsim?

This month saw the release of the latest incarnation of Street Fighter, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition. Now while it would just be a good drinking game making people say the full title fast 5 times and if they fail make them drink, I think I can do a bit better than that.

However this is still an old-school beat-em-up and as such needs a classic drinking game to go with it. As always with my beat-em-up drinking games are meant to level the playing field, skilled player or lucky button-basher this game will bring everyone down to the same level soon enough.

As with all fighters this is best played winner stays on.

Rules

To the victor the spoils: When you win a round – Take a drink

Drowning your sorrows: If the last attack of the round is a special attack – Take a Drink – if it’s an ultra – Take two drinks.

That’s just pitiful: If you lose the round to a ‘Perfect’ – Take two drinks

Ultimate Street Fighter: If a player manages to keep the controller for a full circle of all the challengers in the room, Everyone else in the room has to take two drinks

So as always, when I refer to ‘a drink’ I personally count that as a solid gulp of beer. This is so that our drinking can last for longer, however you know your limits and can drink whatever you want.

With that in mind I would classify this as a Heavy Drinking game.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Drinking Game

It doesn't matter what game it is you always default back to Ryu eventually

When it comes to drinking games, you really can’t beat a good old beat-em-up. This week saw the release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

This game mixes all of your favourite Capcom characters; such as Ryu & Dante, with characters from the Marvel Universe; such as Wolverine & Spider-Man.

The mash-up results in some fast-paced, old-school ass kicking – as such, the any drinking game based on it has to be likewise old school and fast paced.

This game is based on the simple principal of levelling the playing field, be it skilled player or lucky button-basher this game will bring everyone down to the same level soon enough.

Rules

Down & Out – Playing the game winner stays on, at the end of each match each player takes a drink for every person on the other team they KO’ed.

That’s Just Embarrassing – If your last character isn’t knocked out by a special move, 1 Extra Drink for the winner, otherwise 1 Extra Drink for the loser.

Going the Distance – If a player manages to keep the controller for a full circle of all the challengers in the room, Everyone else in the room has to take Two Drinks

Obviously due to the speed of this game, and the fact that each round could see you having as many as 4 drinks, I would classify this as a Heavy drinking game (and one I can’t wait to fire up at the next games night)
