Drinky Talky Thingy Podcast #148: Recently Bought Out by Facebook for $2

Once again Simpsons called it
Once again Simpsons called it

Yes I know, another late episode of the podcast. Unfortunately this is likely to be a trend for a few months at least.

For that reason we had far too many stories lined up to cover all of them, so for that reason we pulled it back to just the ones that we thought were most interesting.

Obviously that means that we had to talk about Project Morpheus, the Oculus Rift purchase by Facebook, Molyneux’s latest ramblings & a bunch of the awards for last years games.

Anyway all that and much more in this episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.

Drinky Talky Thingy Podcast #144: Gow seems to not understand the Concept of Time

funny-sloth-branch-death-dumb

I am sorry Gow, It was too amusing not to leave that failed start in there.

Aside from misunderstanding on the nature of time, we added a bit more to the confusion mix by having a randomiser control the order of the stories.

Having taken the recording to fortnightly however this left us with a bumper of stories from the Steam Boxes to Playstation Now, World of Warcraft to the Wii U and even some news about the removal of the Online Restriction from SimCity.

Anyway all that and much more in this episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.

Talking Point: What was the most impressive thing from CES 2014?

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of the previous show – Which Games should we Play Drunk?

All of the comments can be found at the links below.

You gave us a decent selection of games in there, we should be able to get most of them done.

This lead us on to picking a new topic and as it was going on this weekend naturally CES was fresh on her mind so we talked about  What was the most impressive thing from CES 2014?

There are were actually quite a few gaming related topics amongst the wearable tech and curved TV’s, from PlayStation Now to Project Christine and even news on the Steam Machines. While we went on about it I am not sure we picked favourites, but what did you think was the biggest and best bit of news from CES this year?

Let us know in the comments below which is your favourite and suggest a possible question for the next Talking Point, please do as I seem bad at picking them myself. Everything is fair game, from politics to movies, music to games, hell we will even discuss our favourite womble if you so wish it..
