Talking Point: What is your Favourite Type of Donut?

It is that time of the week again, when in to get warmed up ready for the podcast we ramble about a chosen topic. Before we got onto this weeks topic we did however have to handle the comments of the Listeners/Viewers of the previous show – What the hell are Nintendo going to do at E3?

As always some of your suggestions and comments were great, we do like when people get involved.

Everybody seems as mixed in opinion as the rest of us. One guy pulled me up on the wording of some of my complaints and I am happy he did as it gave me a chance to better explain what I thought.

Moving on to this weeks topic, finally Gow picked the topic which lead to the discussion What is your Favourite Type of Donut?

Strangely this is one of the most honest and in depth discussions we have had in sometime in my opinion! For me there was only one option – Freshly cooked donut balls, generally found at fairs and seaside towns. For Gow he did like a glazed donut.

There were other topics  as well but you will have to watch to see what they were

Seems on the whole everyone was quite positive on the whole VR thing, thinking forward to what it is possible and what the industry might do. You also all seem to realise that whatever happens it is going to take some time.

Moving on to this weeks topic, we want to know What the hell are Nintendo going to do at E3?

They are in the proverbial Catch 22 at the moment. Business wise they could really do with cutting their losses on the Wii U and announcing something new to replace it, but they really cant afford to look weak and can a console that is only 2 years old. Particularly when that console was only bought by their hardcore fans.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds!

A lot of very good suggestions but you guys wound up Gow as none of you selected a single game, though to be honest neither did we really and the ones we kinda forced upon ourselves was probably wrong

However one overwhelming opinion was a lot of people really liked the LucasArts

Moving on to this weeks topic, we want to know What is your opinion on the VR Trend?

This came about as a result of during the 3 weeks we have been away much happened in that area of the gaming industry. Firstly Sony officially announced project morpheus as their entry into the VR Market, then just before recording Facebook bought the Oculus developers for $2 Billion (Yes I heard Dr Evil as well). So whats your take on the whole thing and will you still be buying one?

Most of you really wanted to see them play something a little more modern such as Skyrim, however we were not sure how effective that kind of game would be. Camera control would be next to impossible and we think it would very quickly become unwatchable.

Some people did suggest more pokemon, this gave us a new topic Which Game sums up your Childhood?

This is because Twitch playing Pokemon convinced Gow to go back start playing Pokemon, this made us wonder which game summed up each of our childhoods. Not the first game we played but the first we think of when we think back to when going into nostalgia mode.

For Me that was Sonic the Hedgehog despite how generic an answer that is, for Gow it was Pokemon. The game we couldn’t think of was Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninjas.

Naturally one of the big topics at the moment is Twitch Plays Pokemon, so we had a bit of a talk about that and how well it has actually gone. At time of recording they had most of the badges and were well on their way to getting the rest.

This lead to the natural question What Should Twitch Play Next?

Obviously more of the Pokemon series is an option, but why limit it to that series any top down RPG would really work – Personally I want to see QWOP would be a very good option and Gow thought of Dance Dance Revolution or Fallout

So it seems that EA aren’t happy with King.com trying to steal thier title of Biggest Tosspots in the Industry releasing a version of Dungeon Keeper for Mobile that is so badly done and so much of a money grab that I am not even willing to try and pretend to be impartial about it.

Knowing as we do that there are a lot of very good free to play games out there, we decided rather than ask for your take on Dungeon Keeper (because lets be fair thats quite a one-sided question) we instead want to know What is your favourite Free-To-Play Game?

Lets get a list that we can share around about how it should be done
